Gratitude in Bloom

There’s something about spring that just feels like God hitting the refresh button on creation. After months of gray skies, bare trees, and frozen sidewalks, suddenly the birds are back, the tulips are peeking through, and the sun sticks around past dinner. It’s hard not to feel a little lighter this time of year, it’s a great opportunity to lift our eyes to the heavens and say, “Thank you, Lord.”
Spring reminds us that God is in the business of renewal. Just as the earth is being made new, so are we, daily.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
What a promise! Every bloom, every budding tree, every warm breeze is a little nudge from our Creator, reminding us of His faithfulness. Even the mud (yes, the mud!) tells a story. Growth is messy. But growth is good. And God is right in the middle of it.
This season, we’re invited to notice the gifts we might usually take for granted, like longer days, warmer walks, and gardens full of color. We’re also invited to thank God not just for the pretty parts of spring, but for the truth that seasons change.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” Psalm 107:1
Take a walk. Breathe deeply. Notice the birds singing louder than your to-do list. And take a moment to pray a simple prayer of thanks. It doesn’t have to be fancy, just genuine.
Let’s be people who live in the rhythm of gratitude.
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
Happy Spring!
See you Sunday, muddy shoes and all.
