Wait…That’s God?

Chapter 25 of The Story is one of those moments where everything shifts. Up to this point, we’ve seen God move in big, loud ways. Burning bushes, parted seas, kings rising and falling. But then, He does something completely unexpected. He comes as a baby. Probably not how most people thought He would.
In this chapter, we meet Jesus. Not just a teacher, or miracle worker, but God in the flesh. He didn’t send another prophet, He came Himself.
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” John 1:14
He came performing miracles, raising people from the dead, healing the sick, calming the seas, forgiving. He was with the sinners, the messy. He didn’t wait until they got their act together. He went straight to them. Not at all how the people of Isreal thought He would come.
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10
How can we live this out for His kingdom?
-You don’t have to have it all together, He knows you don’t.
-Think about who you might be overlooking, God isn’t.
-Lead with grace, that’s how He leads you.
-Remember who He is. Not just a teacher, but God who came near.
God isn’t distant, He isn’t waiting for you to pull your life together. He’s already stepped into your story and is always with you. He is still showing up. He is working for you and through you. Maybe not how you pictured but exactly the way you need.
