Our Family of Peace

Church isn’t just a place you go on Sunday. Church isn’t just an organization you become a member of. Church isn’t just a place you come to receive what you need for your own personal faith. Church is a family.
Church is family—in every sense of the word. We have a Father. We were born into this family through the waters of baptism. We have brothers and sisters whom we are accountable to and responsible for. We are blessed, even in our conflict, and we are committed to working through our struggles. When something happens to one of our family members, it happens to all of us. We laugh together, cry together, pray together, and cling to a common hope and purpose. We are the family of Christ.
And it truly is an incredible gift. Not that we are a perfect family – after all what family is? But we are a family living in the grace and mercy of our Father and the love of Jesus. Who wouldn’t want a family like this? And I believe this is our opportunity today.
I ask you to join me in giving thanks to the Lord for the gift of Our Family of Peace. And as we look forward to our future together, please pray that our growing family reaches many more with the love of our Lord.
In His Grip,
Pastor Guy Roberts
1 John 1:3 – We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with His Son, Jesus Christ.
