God Provides

Today in staff devotions, someone shared a personal testimony of how faithful God had been in providing for their family. They shared how God’s faithfulness had been experienced so often, that they had just come to expect that He would provide. This opened the conversation to many other like-minded comments. We were reminded, of what’s always been true… God provides. Case in point…

Last summer, Lydia Massie, our Children’s Ministry Coordinator moved to Texas. We prayed for her replacement and the Lord raised up Amy Bomareto to serve part-time as our Sunday School Coordinator.  We’ve prayed and we’ve waited for an answer how to proceed moving forward, and this month God provided someone to serve as Children’s Ministry Coordinator. His gift to us??? Amy Bomareto! That’s right! Amy will begin in her new role as Children’s Ministry Coordinator on February 1st. God Provides. Alleluia!

Want another?  We’ve been praying every Sunday for the last 9 months that the Lord would raise someone up to serve as the Financial Coordinator.  Gary Crocker retired in November and Angie Habben has been so kind as to cover this area of ministry for a few months. But the prayers and the searching continued, until now. I am excited to announce that the Lord led Joey Schilling to accept the position of Financial Coordinator and serve here at Peace. Praise the Lord for His providence.

God is good, all the time. And He provides. Please join me in giving thanks to the Lord for His faithfulness. I can’t wait to see what the Lord will do for our congregation and the mission field to which He has sent us.

In His Grip, Pastor Guy Roberts
