Passport
As you are aware, we are in the process of pulling teams together to go to Guatemala. The people at Peace have been extremely generous picking up the cost of the homes we want to build.
Being one of the people taking this adventure I quickly checked my passport. I found that it had to be renewed so I started the (painless) process of renewal, “on-line”.
While jumping through all the renewal “hoops,” I started thinking about our renewal or passport we have with our Savior. (My mind tends to drift a lot). Anyway, I thought about an article I read about Christmas as a season of “renewal”. That little Christ Child reminds us that we have been “renewed” through Him. He is the “good news of great joy”! (Luke 2:9-10). All our dirty little secrets, our sin and our shame were to be washed away by this little child! He is our “passport” to eternal life!
“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.” (1 John 4:9)
What a wonderful “passport” God has sent us through His Son!!
Have a blessed Christmas and grateful New Year!
