There is a Time for Everything

Raise your hand if you are ready for Fall? After many years in Texas, I have really enjoyed the true changing of the seasons. Texas has two seasons, summer and not summer with fall and spring being one day each. Even after such a rainy spring and not too hot summer, I am looking forward to seeing the leaves change and cooler weather.

Even with the crazy things going on in our world, it is nice to see the earth just doing the same things that it has always done. God set it on it’s course at creation, and it is comforting to know that it will keep on going until Jesus returns.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 says, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”  As a whole, Ecclesiastes is not a particularly uplifting book of the Bible, but it does show that the things that we see today in our world are nothing new.

It is so easy to get caught up in seeing only the negative that is going on in the world, and there is some crazy stuff going on. But like Solomon in Ecclesiastes, we need to look to God and His provision for us. He gave us this earth to live on and he continues to give us all of things we need to live our lives in the assurance that He is the one in control.
